"To Marilyn Agee re Joseph and Jesus"
Hi Marilyn!
I could be wrong, but this
is how it seems to me. Joseph was given a gentile bride just
before the seven years of famine. Perhaps this is a parallel to Jesus
being given His bride (the church) before the seven years of
tribulation.
However, the brothers of Joseph (founders of the
Jewish tribes) join Joseph in the second year of famine. This
looks like it would have to refer to Jews coming to the Lord in the
tribulation.
Perhaps the verse where John says I am your
brother in tribulation...""I John, who also am your brother, and
companion in tribulation..." has a twofold meaning. John was very
much a brother in suffering persecution in his lifetime. On
another level perhaps it means that the Jews of the final generation
will undergo tribulation.
I hope I have stated this well. Oh, well. We all watch, wait and will someday see.
