"Rapture Alert:  February 2nd 2009:  The 1st Israeli Space Pilot"

The 1st Israeli space pilot

~

Genesis 15:5 (King James Version)

5And he brought him  (Abraham) forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

Abraham & the Israeli Space Pilot

What does the name Ilan Ramon mean to you?  Did you know that he was the first Israeli Astronaut?

Did you know that he was a pilot on the U.S. Space Shuttle Columbia?  Do you remember when this Shuttle blew up, killing the seven (7) Astronauts, including Ilan Ramon?

February 1st 2003

This happened six (6) years ago.  Six is the number for man.

He was age 48 when he died.  The first thing to come to mind in regards to 48 & Israel is the rebirth of the Nation in 1948.  All of this of course relates to Abraham, the land promise and the “stars of the heavens” promise.

Here is the gematria for 4848 + Majesty/Greatness + Star + Strength/Wealth + Joy/Rejoicing + Jubile/Ram's Horn + All riches (Ord) + I will open (Ord) + Wall/Rampart + By him/Through him + Measure + Agate + Ornament + Axe (Ord) + East/Sunrise (Ord) + God Almighty (Ord) + Our God (Ord) + Heat + Hope + Increase/Fruit + Marrow

And, do you know what Ilan’s name means in Hebrew (it is a Hebrew name)?

Tree.  As in Tu B’ Shevat tree?  Yes.  (ref:  Tu B’ Shevat:  http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/jan2009/tonye129.htm)

Further, this man was born in Beersheba.

This is where Abraham was here in scripture after the near sacrifice of his son Isaac:

Genesis 22:18-20 (King James Version)

18And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

19So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

 20And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;

Ilan’s personal life notes (ref:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilan_Ramon):

Ilan’s mother and grandmother were survivors of the Auschwitz concentration camps.

He fought in the 1973, Yom Kippur War

In 1981, he took part in the IAF mission that destroyed a nuclear reactor in Iraq.

He was a “secular” Jew, although he sought to have kosher foods, observe the Sabbath, and took the Torah with him in space.  He took with him a drawing from a child from the Auschwitz concentration camps entitled “Moon Landscape.”

Miraculously, his 37- page journal survived the crash.  He wrote on the last day of the journal:

“Today was the first day I felt I was truly living in space.  I have become a man who lives and works in space.”

Inscribed in black ink and pencil, it covered only the first six (6) days of the 16 day mission.  His journal papers remained white, not charred, from an explosion that occurred 37 miles above earth.

At his memorial, Rabbi Konikov uttered the words “Jerusalem, we have a problem…”

God rest his soul, and bless his family, still surviving him.

Space Shuttle Columbia, Mission:  STS-107

Columbia is a name after Christopher Columbus.

Also, Columba is a small, faint constellation created in the sixteenth century. Its name is Latin for dove.

Mission STS-107 was the 113th Space Shuttle launch. It was delayed 18 times over the two years from its original launch date of January 11, 2001 to its actual launch date of January 16, 2003. (It was preceded by STS-113.)

Insignia:

The constellation Columba (the dove) was chosen to symbolize peace on Earth and the Space Shuttle Columbia. The seven stars also represent the mission crew members and honor the original astronauts who paved the way to make research in space possible. Six stars have five points, the seventh has six points like a Star of David, symbolizing the Israeli Space Agency's contributions to the mission.

An Israeli flag is adjacent to the name of Payload Specialist Ramon, who was the first Israeli in space.

Columba is supposed to represent Noah’s dove, sent out from the Ark to find dry land, and which returned with an olive branch in its beak, a sign that the Flood was at last subsiding. But those familiar with the story of Argo might instead think of it as the dove sent by the Argonauts between the Clashing Rocks to ensure their safe passage. The constellation’s brightest star, third-magnitude Alpha Columbae, is called Phact, from an Arabic name meaning ‘ring dove’.
