"Rick Smith:C Alan Martin third time"

John, Rick and Doves,

As I looked at your diagram, I felt lead to research who were ex-military.  From there my worksheet grew to include other items from conversations here on this site.  The thing that stood out to me regards Reagan. First he changed his religious affiliation.  Born in 1911, and at the age of 11 became an Evangelical Christian according to the following from Wikipedia:

According to Paul Kengor, author of God and Ronald Reagan, Reagan had a particularly strong faith in the goodness of people, which stemmed from the optimistic faith of his mother, Nelle,[5] and the Disciples of Christ faith,[5] which he was baptized into in 1922.[6] When Reagan was 11, his mother gave him the book That Printer of Udell's and he said that the book inspired him to become an evangelical Christian; at age 66 Reagan said that the book "left an abiding belief in the triumph of good over evil."[7][3]

The next change for Reagan was his political affiliation, also from Wikipedia:

Two years after switching parties, Reagan joined the campaign of conservative presidential contender Barry Goldwater. Speaking on Goldwater's behalf, Reagan stressed his belief in the importance of smaller government. He revealed his ideological motivation in a famed speech given on October 27, 1964: "The Founding Fathers knew a government can't control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing."[46] The speech raised $1 million for Goldwater's campaign,[14] and soon became known as the "Time for Choosing" speech. It is considered the event that launched Reagan's political career.[47]

So, if I look at your updated design: http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/1/26/2285883/UPDATED.jpg and take what I mentioned above, Reagan represents a change in spiritual as well as political direction of the country.  Thus, the bend in the street or directional change also changes the grouping symmetry.  Another interesting point according to Yahoo, Reagan and Truman were considered to be ambidextrous.  They actually wrote with their left hand, but were photographed using their right.

If we look at the second group first, we have:

9   R  Bush  Pilot  Gulf War    Businessman/Oil    Yale                  First Father/Son

10  D            No military exp    Lawyer               Multiple schools  First Impeached for

                                                                                          Perjury/Obstruction, not removed

11  R  Bush  Pilot   Gulf War   Businessman/Oil     Yale                 First Father/Son

12  D            No military exp   Lawyer                Multiple schools  First African American

{Notice the presidential numbers for the Bush’s 9/11?}

Next, if we look at the first group on the first street as the other symmetry group.  I know this might be a stretch but, if I could exclude Reagan in the second group will you allow me to exclude Truman in the other group being that he is also the only other one that is ambidextrous?  (My excuse being a symmetry moment?)

2 R   West Point             Military       Death-Nuclear Weapons Priority

3 D   Harvard                  Politican     Assassinated

4 D   Texas                     Politican      Vietnam

5 R    Duke                      Lawyer       Vietnam

6 R    Yale                       Lawyer       Survived 2 assassination attempts

7 D    Naval Academy     Military      Death-Roe v. Wade/Abortion platform

I look at Reagan and think about his speech “Time for Choosing”?  First, Reagan the man changed (spirituality) and then Reagan the man to be President (political/governmental) changed.  Is this a confirmation to us that we should be also choosing to change?  Is this related in any way to what was the campaign slogan of where we are now?  I am sorry if I sound like I am rambling.  The first time I typed this I felt like I was and now the second time typing this even more so.  Encouragement could come to all of us from the fact that Reagan the man survived an assassination attempt as Reagan the President.  Doing what I believe he felt the Lord called him to do.

This whole exercise today came about because I have received from the Lord several times in the last few days to get my house in order and I’m not really sure what that means?!  Do you?  If so, could you please share so that I can learn and understand.  This past summer, my husband and I had a dear friend who had a heavy burden one day to get before the Lord and repent.  This burden was extreme.  He went before his pastor, his wife, and his prayer partner.  His home filled with the presence of the Lord as he did.  He continued until he felt released from the Lord.  Within several hours of this experience the Lord took him home to be with Him – suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye.

If I could only encourage any one reading this that has not already choosen – choose life in the only way we are given in the name of Jesus who died for our sins and repent as the Holy Spirit leads you.

I hope this letter and my worksheet that follows makes some sense.  If anyone sees any thing else, could you please share?  Thank you very much.

Thank you John for all that you do,

Roseann

John - sorry for all the emails.  I think this will be the best one.
