"RE : Wornandweary"
to Lester and all who might read this, in Jesus' name,
For years I was unsettled in my mind and heart about
the Trinity until I read a little book written by Stanley Rosenthal, a
Jewish minister who was and perhaps still is the American Director of the
Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry. The title of the book is " ONE
GOD OR THREE ?" and is probably no longer in print. The book was
given to me by the godly wife of a Christian and Missionary Alliance pastor
after he died and she was going to live in a nursing home.
This dear lady and her husband both knew A.W. Tozer and were deeply
influenced by his ministry. If you can find a copy of this book,
perhaps at Amazon, it will answer questions we find difficult even
to pose regarding the Trinity.
Regarding the passage in Daniel 10, Gabriel had been
sent on his way to answer Daniel's prayer for understanding of the
vision he had been given by the LORD. The vision dealt with end time
events such as the rebuilding of the temple as you suggest, and which
will surely take place just as shown to Daniel. This passage shows
us the importance of prevailing in prayer. Answers to prayers seem
to be able to be delayed and hindered sometimes by Satan and his unholy
companions . This suggests a reason for praying until something happens,
and for corporate prayer, in a sense, as it turns up the volume and urgency
of prayers reaching the throne of GOD as we pray together in accordance
with His will and are led by His Holy Spirit. Had Daniel stopped
praying for understanding, would Michael have been sent to assist Gabriel
? We must be thankful that he continued in prayer until the answer came,
so we can now have this powerful example of the manner in which GOD sometimes
answers prayers.
Waiting for our LORD's soon return,
