"Prayer request"

Greetings John and Doves,

I have been a “lurker” for about 8 years and a very infrequent poster. Today I come with a burdened heart and a prayer request for my future daughter-in-law. Her name is Autumn and my son’s name is Tim. They are in their mid-twenties and met each other around 2002 at a Christian camp, Living Waters, near Brevard, NC. Recently Autumn’s medical doctor informed her of multiple nodules on both sides of her thyroid. Biopsies of the three largest nodules showed one to be benign but the other two to be suspicious. Even if all nodules show to be benign, medical opinion is to remove the entire thyroid, since leaving any benign tumors is considered an increased risk of cancer and will affect/prevent child birth.

Autumn and Tim are strong Christians who live, share and teach their faith. Since 1999 Tim has served as the Assistant Director and Head Counselor at the Living Waters camp and Autumn serves as a Head Counselor for the girls. Both attended the annual free Christian camps for pre-teens through age 18. Almost five years ago they sensed that God was bringing them together. The annual camps brought great maturity to both Autumn and Tim such that the Camp Director asked both of them to return as counselors for the following generations of teens.

Both Autumn and Tim serve the Lord Jesus in their church, Dwelling Place Christian Fellowship, in Christiansburg, Virginia. Their church is missionary-oriented; Tim accompanied a church group on an 18-day mission trip to Mozambique, Africa in 2002. Then in 2005, 2006 and 2007 they both accompanied groups on 16-day mission trips to Serbia and Croatia, with Tim and Autumn being Mission Leaders in the latest two trips.

It is with a humble spirit and a heart full of thanks to our Savior that I ask my brothers and sisters (The Doves) to pray for Autumn’s complete healing and deliverance from this physical attack of the enemy. Jesus paid the price on the Cross on Calvary. Matt 8:17 KJV says: “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” and 1 Peter 2:24 KJV says: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed” Both scriptures are New Testament quotes from Isaiah Chapter 53.

God’s Word does not lie, but is the TRUTH. We must believe His Word as if our lives depended upon it.  AND IT DOES.

Thanks Doves,

Wayne
