Assuming Passover was on what is shown on the converter program as Nisan 15, (starting after sunset on April 5th), mostly on April 6, 30 AD Julian, April 4, 30 AD Gregorian, 1732109.5 Julian day count, ending Thu at Sunset
Adding 2007 x 360 = 722520 to 1732109.5 = 2454629.5 or June 12, 2008, Sivan 9 - Within a day, well I guess half a day if you figure the 0.5 which I don't know exactly what to do with.
Like you (John) pointed out this is very close to Pentecost which this has Sivan 6 as being June 8/9, 2008, (starting Sun at sundown and ending Monday at sundown), which intrigued me.
What I thought was interesting is how the Sunday before Passover in 30 AD, which we should be able to trust the day of the week count to be more reliable anyway probably than the day of the Hebrew month, is that Sir Robert Anderson came to the Sunday before Passover, (although 32 AD), as the prophetic pivot date to use in his calculations. This is when Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords on the back of a donkey to fulfill this prophetic event.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. Zechariah 9:9
So, can we get to Pentecost? Yes. This prophecy fulfilling event would have been Sunday, Nisan 11, (before sunset), 4 days before Nisan 15. Subtracting 4 days from June 12, 2008 brings us to June 8, 2008.
June 8, 2008 - Sunday! I like Sunday.
I believe this is Sivan 5 before sunset but there are various ways of calculating Pentecost besides always being on Sivan 6, the Christian Church tradition always being on Sunday. Amazingly I found this site page that seems dedicated to declaring that June 8, 2008 is the true Pentecost:
Okay - So this would point to a Spring Rapture while I've always thought the preponderance of the evidence pointed to a Fall Rapture. Can't say I've changed my mind. I know many see analogies in The Song of Solomon and elsewhere for a Spring Rapture. And there is something to be said to agree with the person that there may be a several month gap between the Rapture and the start of the 7 bad years or 7 years of tribulation which could point to a Spring Rapture.
Okay - I'm assuming a starting date in 30 AD of Palm Sunday. Others may want to start as late as Pentecost in 30 AD. So this would be equivalent to adding 7 days + 7 weeks to June 8, 2008 which comes to August 3, 2008 - Sunday!. I like Sunday. Of course adding 7 prophetic years to September 11, 2001, including September 11th, brings us to August 4, 2008.
Enough said for now.
Shalom,
Ted Porter
P.S. The other answer to Pastor Rileys question is .1971 fraction of a prophetic year is just .1971 times 360 days = 70.956 or basically 71 days.
