I was rather reluctant to wade into this issue, but it is good to hear some preaching from someone solid.

 

I follow Dr. John MacArthur’s teaching and he is very solid with what he teaches.  I am aware that some might accuse him of being unloving and rigid, but what we have to keep in mind is that he is not preaching his own pet theology, but he is only preaching from the Scripture.  If the Lord had to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah we have wonder why suddenly the Lord would  go soft on the modern day Gays? In that case the Lord will have to apologise to the citizens of those cities for burning them down to ashes.  When we read Judges chapter 19-21 we see that even in the time of Judges,” when everyone did as it pleased them”, yet they did not put up with this offense and was ready to wipe out the tribe of Benjamin completely. 

 

We cannot say that it was in the OT times,  and now that we are living under the Age of Grace,  things have truly changed.  Nothing has changed as the Lord said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them.” (Matthew 5:17).  The last book in the Bible, the book of Revelation, says “ nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life”  Rev 21:27. And again in Rev 22:15 “Outside are dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood”. 

 

A good read for those who want to have a clear view in a world where so many are trying to drown us with their views.
