http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/jan2008/denisem13.htmThank you for your thoughtful letter Denise and thank you for posting. Very
well said. In all my years of Christianity, I personally have not seen
someone stumble from the faith over a failed rapture date - anyone who's
ever been disappointed seems to stick around because they really don't want
to miss the rapture when it finally does happen. If anything, it just gives
the unbelievers and mockers all the more reason to keep on mocking.but that
will not go on forever. The Lord will have the last laugh (Psalm 37:13).I have seen people hurt and turned off by fighting, name calling, lack of
love, lack of humility, hypocrisy - just the overall poor example that
Christians sometimes exhibit. I personally do not believe in date setting
or that anyone but God can know the actual day and hour of the rapture
before it happens - but I still love my date setting brothers and sisters in
Christ - we should endeavor to love all God's children regardless of our
differences because eternity is a long time. God might put their mansion
next to someone they weren't very nice to here on earth. :)Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed! (Rom 13:11) He's
coming quickly.
