It is 2008 and Jesus didn't return in 2007.  But He has promised He
would return and He is Faithful and True.  He has granted us more time
to bring more people into His kingdom.  Faith is being sure of what we
hope for and certain of the things we do not see.  This is what the
ancients were commended for (Heb 11:1-2).

There are so many people who are lost and need Jesus.  It is hard
sometimes to continue to live in a world that has become so wicked, a
place where mothers murder their children, where Aunts murder their
nephews for money and all kinds of wickedness and evil abound.  Jesus
told us things would wax worse and worse and the love of many would grow
cold.

Let's dedicate this year to living and preaching the gospel.  The real
gospel that says pick up your cross daily, die to self and follow me.
Let us turn from those who preach a false gospel of follow me and send
my representative money and I will grant you your every desire and make
you rich and healthy too.  That is a a false perverted gospel that can't
save its hearers.

The way of the cross is offensive to the world.  In trying to win the
world, we have rejected the gospel because it offends people.  Let us
have a backbone, stand for truth in love and proclaim the good news.
While we still have time.

Narcissism is the biggest enemy of the human race.  It tempts people to
think life is all about them, what they want, what they desire.  It is
something that Madison Avenue and Hollywood sell in a pretty package of
poison that looks nutritious and fulfilling, but leaves behind
hollowness and emptiness and despair.

The things that please God are Trusting Him and Taking Him at His Word
and Looking out for other people.

Abraham was commended for his faith - not that he was just willing to
sacrifice Isaac on the altar, but that he believed and trusted God that
thru Isaac God would fulfill His promise to Abraham to make his seed as
numerous as the stars.  Did you get that?  Abraham TRUSTED God to do
what He said He would even though it looked impossible in human terms.
That is Faith and without Faith it is impossible to please God.

Let us all trust God.  He said that if we ask anything in Jesus Name
according to His Will He would grant it.  God wants all people to be
saved.  Let us dedicate 2008 to praying for a great World Wide
Awakening, that Billions of people would turn to Jesus Christ and He
would be Glorified.

May your 2008 be blessed by God, may He do a Great work in your heart,
opening your eyes to His wonderful Work.
