Hi, brother Rick! Those of us who believe the Restrainer is the Holy Spirit do not believe that the Spirit will depart with the Christians at the Rapture, but that He INDWELLS believers, and leads us to do the work of the Most High. When we are departed, His WORK through us will be removed. In no way do we believe that the omnipresent Spirit will EVER depart. The Spirit working THROUGH believers is what holds back complete evil. We are the ones who give them a “hard time” about their persistent sinning, we are the ones who FIGHT them, we are the ones who pray against evil. We are a thorn in their sides. We make them feel guilt at their persistent sinning. Once we’re gone, we’ll cease to “perturb” them, and they can live as they choose. And the Holy Spirit is the one who brings sinners to repentance and salvation. It is absolutely essential that He remain here to bring people to repentance, until Yahshua returns and lives among us. But He will not INDWELL them… it will be as it was before the day of Pentecost. This is my take on it, anyway.
Your sister in Yahshua!
