Re: Ellen Gonzalez, the year of Jubilee and a spring RaptureHi:
27 AD was a Sabbatic Year, and 28 AD was the Jubilee. We can figure from there. The Jubilee Cycle is 49 years. The 50th year is both the Jubilee and the 1st year of the new cycle.
In 27 AD, Jesus' 30th birthday was Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets. His ministry was beginning. Ten days later, when he was about 30 on the Day of Atonement, he read Isa. 61:1,2 to introduce the coming Jubilee Year that would start on the following Nisan 1.
Luke 4:16-21 says, "he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."
What seems favorable to you about the Rapture on the Feast of Tabernacles? To me, the spring has more going for it. I learned something about growing grapes that helped me understand Isaiah 18's message to the whole world.
In the spring, growers prune the vines, cutting off any twigs that are not producing any fruit. The strength of the vine is then concentrated in the best fruit.
Isaiah 18: 3-6 says, "ALL YE INHABITANTS OF THE WORLD, AND DWELLERS ON THE EARTH, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign (flag) on the mountains (kingdoms, i.e., the UN); and WHEN HE BLOWETH A TRUMPET, HEAR YE. For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest (7th day), and I will consider (see) in my dwelling place (Heaven) like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew IN THE HEAT OF HARVEST (barley harvest comes first). For afore the harvest (of grapes), when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs (i.e., having fruit) with pruning hooks, and TAKE AWAY (i.e., in the Rapture) and cut down the branches (i.e., that have no fruit). THEY SHALL BE LEFT together unto the fowls of the mountains (kingdoms), and to the beasts (i.e., of Rev. 13) of the earth: and the fowls shall SUMMER UPON THEM, and all the beasts of the earth shall WINTER upon them."
Doesn't that sound like the First-Trump Rapture will be in the spring, not in the summer or winter? It looks like the Last-Trump Rapture has to be on the Feast of Trumpets in the fall.
Rev. 6: 12-17 says, "I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven (meteorites set free when the asteroid of Rev. 8:8-11) breaks into two pieces at the Roche Limit) fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks (the asteroids), Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne (they see the Sign of the Son of Man in the sky), and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath (i.e., the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of God's Wrath, the great and terrible Day of the Lord) is come; and who shall be able to stand?"
Next, we see that the Last-Trump Rapture has just taken place. Rev. 7:14-16 says, "These are THEY WHICH CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God (in Heaven), and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat."
Following the Last-Trump Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets, there is silence in both Heaven and Earth while Jesus, the judge, is crowned King of kings and Lord of lords and is seated at the Judgment Seat of Christ in Heaven.
Rev. 8:1,2 says, "And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets."
Hab. 2:20 says, "But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him."
Isa. 41:1 says, "Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment."Psa 149:5-9 says, "Let the saints be joyful in glory (i.e., in Heaven): let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people...this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD."
Joel 2:15-18 says, "Blow the trumpet in Zion (in Heaven on the Feast of Trumpets), sanctify a fast (the upcoming Day of Atonement), call a solemn assembly: Gather the people (i.e., from one end of Heaven to the other), sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children (from Earth, at the Last-Trump Rapture), and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom (Christ) go forth of his chamber, and the bride (Bride of Christ) out of her closet (chuppah, canopy). Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people (Gog's army is attacking Israel), O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people."
When the 7 trumpets sound, God's wrath hits unbelievers left on Earth. To me, all this happens before the Feast of Tabernacles is fulfilled.
