Hi Friends.I found out I was adopted a long time ago, but until 'computers' got so good,
I wasn't able to find anybody. But over the years, I have found everybody
that I'm biologically related to, including my birth mother and have found
there are more and more resources all the time.I have known for a few years that I was born at Booth Memorial Hospital in Des
Moines, IA, but really never gave that much thought, until I started
researching recently into what "Booth" really meant. I have dug and
dug and
have finally found some very interesting info that I wonder if other Doves
would be interested in. I found out that the Salvation Army is the backbone
of all Booth hospitals and that actually we are called "Booth Babies".
Now I
don't know for sure, but I have read on some sites where unwed mothers who go
to Catholic hospitals for delivery are actually 'delivered' into a pail of
water and that ends the story there.Fortunately, I was born and lived and adopted to a wonderful family--all due
to Booth. Here is the story of the Booth/Salvation Army concept and look what
it has led to: Me, a follower of our Dear Lord Jesus, and an everyday reader
of the Dove Site.:file:///Users/i_do_country/Desktop/8warm10h/8warm10h.htm
Please copy/paste. also, on Bill O'Reilly's program, he says that the
Salvation Army is the leader in the most dollars given to people in need, and
lowest in dollars given to Administrative Costs. Just thought someone might
want to know ;-)
