"The Desert Place"

Most Christian believers in Jesus Christ want to know His divine Will for their lives. Your life Journey to knowing God's divine Will for your life will most always lead you into the Desert Place. It is here in your Wilderness wanderings through the Desert that you will find the riches of God's wisdom and grace to discover His wonderful plans for your life

The Desert Place is like a lonely Wasteland. You feel so alone with the desolation and silence. God leads you into the solitude of the desert so that we can meet Him and hear Him speak to us. The Road to the Promise Land will always lead through the desert.  Think about Moses. He spent 40 years in the wilderness before God called to him from a burning bush and told him to lead the Hebrew people of Israel out of Egyptian bondage

Those 40 years in the Desert were part of his growing process. It was in the Desert that Moses learned humility, obedience and faith. As a result of his 40 years of desert preparation, the Bible says that he was a " very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth "

In Deuteronomy 8 we see five reasons why God lead the Hebrew people into the Desert after freeing them from Egyptian bondage:

1. God led the Hebrew people there to humble them

2. He led them there to test them

3. He led them there so that they could experience His miraculous provision

4. He led them there to focus their minds on spiritual things

5. He led them there to lovingly disciple them

God was taking the people of Israel from a state of childhood to a state of maturity. he did so by leading them through thr Desert Place. In the Desert, God teaches us an entirely new paradigm about His provision. When we are no longer able to earn a living for ourselves, we discover what it means to live by faith. We can never know God's faithfulness in the material things in life untill we are forced to rely totally upon Him. We don't really know what trust means untill we reach a desert place in life and don't know where our next meal is coming from. When God leads us into the desert, he often seems to dry up our resources for a season. We have no power to meet our own needs. Yet He will always provide

if you are right now in a Wilderness season in the Desert Place, keep trusting in God. He is still with you and has wonderful plans for your life. Keep waiting patiently, God will rescue and deliever you from your time of trouble !!!
