"Do You have a Joseph Calling"

I believe that there are many Christian believers who's lives have had a " Joseph Calling " assigned to their life by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. You may be asking just what is a " Joseph Calling ". Have you read the story of Joseph in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament ?  Put simply - has your life been going smoothly, your going to church, faithfully serving God as a Sunday school teacher,  then suddenly you hit the pain and suffering of adversity and your world as you have always known it has suddenly fallen apart. Your life is tumbling out of control.  Have you have overnight entered a minefield of physical, emotional and mental pain the likes of which you have never experienced before. And God is no-where to be found. Welcome to the " Joseph Calling " , God may have just enrolled you in a life-changing leadership course

Like Joseph, God calls some Christian leaders to experience extraordinary levels of adversity in order to accomplish extraordinary things through them. Why ? Because He knows that adversity builds character and produces wisdom in the life of a leader. God will use this adversity for good in your life and in the lives of others. Thats the principle of the " Joseph Calling "

The moment that you see your adversity through the lens of the " Joseph Calling " , your perspective will change. You will stop seeing yourself as a failure, abandoned by God. You will realize that God is dealing with you the same way He had dealt with Joseph. Your losses, setbacks, pain and suffering has all been allowed-and even orchestrated-by a wise and loving God. You see, God is preparing you to serve Him in a mighty way. You have to go thru the Valley of Adversity before you can climb the mountain-top of God's Blessings

There are i believe thousands of Christians today who have the " Joseph Calling " upon their lives. They are entering, enduring or emerging from a time of terrible adversity-and God is preparing them for the challenge of Christian Leadership. Joseph spent over 2 whole years suffering in prison. God had not forgotten Joseph, He was preparing him for what was to come. At the end of Joseph's time of preparation in the adversity furnace of prison - he was promoted to the 2nd most powerful leader in all of Egypt.  The Calling upon Joseph to a major leadership position was a great honor. But first Joseph had to go into the pit of adversity

Do you feel like your life has suddenly gone out of control and God isn't answering your cry's for help ? Are you in the sea of uncertainty with a raft but no oars ? Nothing makes sense anymore, your friends have deserted you, you are all alone ? Then it maybe time to rejoice and praise God, because He is at work in your life. Using your adversity to prepare you for an amazing future serving Him in a leadership position. God has selected you to embark on the journey of a lifetime. God has chosen you to join the select company of people like Job and Joseph, Daniel and Paul- people who have undergone adversity and emerged as people of refined character and new leadership abilities to serve His Kingdom Purposes

You may not be looking at yourself as one of God's leaders, but He is the one that has chosen you. Consider it an honor and a priviledge for God to want to use you to serve Him in a leadership role. So if you are finding yourself in the Pit of Adversity right now, hang in there and keep smiling. God is with you. He just may have counted you worthy to have a life-changing " Joseph Calling " experience,  ordered directly from the Throne Room of God Himself !!!

remember : Jesus is always with you
