"Are we misrepresenting Christ
to our families? vision"
Had an sad enlightening experience one night
that made me realize how serious it is in how we represent Christ to our
families.
Some of us who take our Christianity seriously have fallen
into the trap of ignoring the very important things that seem insignificant
to us. We have the word but we can become very harsh in how we administer
it. The old self in us is easily seen by those who observe us but sometimes
not by ourselves. We justify our harshness by rationalizing it away.
I saw my son in hell, I was there with him weeping that
he was there because I had misrepresented Christ to him as a child. He
turned away from Christ because of how I misrepresented him with my anger
and harshness. This was very painful so I tried to relay this to him. Many
have been sent away from Christ because of this sort of thing. There are
eternal consequences for the way we live our Christian life. God is very
much interested in the little things. Little to us but big to him. We may
ignore them but God does not. He is able to bring it to our attention even
if he has to use a dream to get thru to us. This is so we may set things
right.
