"Rapture"
My 17-year old granddaughter just left after
a wonderful afternoon visit. I just got out of the hospital with
pneumonia and my dog needed a bath so she came over to bathe him for me.
We had Chai tea and Cappcino with cookies and began talking about Christmas.
She felt Christmas had been different this year and was not certain why
that was.
We began to talk about the Rapture and she got very excited.
She had lots of questions which I answered as best I could. I talked
with her about my excitement and she asked me if I thought He will come
back this year. I hope so. She began to get excited about the
idea. We visited the Five Doves Website and Grace Thru Faith and
watched the video Midnight Cry. She hopes He comes for us on a Sunday
during her Sunday School class. She thinks that would be awesome
to be raptured as a group of worshippers.
I gave her some websites to explore and she left in anticipation
of Christ's coming. She said she will wake up each morning and think
it might be today!! We were also able to talk about some of our family
members who are not Christian and our need to continue to witness and pray
for them. I have a rather distant cousin who is not even atheist
because to be an atheist would mean he has to admit there is God.
I met him through genealogy research. I remember his sweet saintly
grandmother who was my grandmother's auntie (they were almost the same
age). I shared with Erin how I have been witnessing to him by email
and his responses are becoming more and more positive. Praise the
Lord. I sent him the Midnight Cry and his response was good.
God is giving us a little more time to work on the people
we love who are not Christians yet and may not be by the time of His return
for us, but the seeds will have been planted.
In His grip
