Dear Doves;Daniel's prophecy regarding the beginning of the tribulation, given by the angel Gabriel and revealed to us by the Holy Spirit, is meant to guide us regarding specific future historical events. While the rapture may happen at any moment, the tribulation, according to the bible, is set for a specific time frame; it will last for "one week" or a specific set of seven years ending with a sabbath year and year of jubilee. The Jews know about the sabbatical years even if they are not followed as they were designed by God. That is how we know that this year Sept. 2007-Sept./Oct.2008, (or 5768), is a year of jubilee and that this fall begins a new set of seven years, called a "shevuim".The day after the rapture (unless it happens at the onset of the next sabbatical cycle) will not begin the tribulation. The tribulation begins "when the covenant is confirmed by many" according to Daniel's prophecy. There could be months between the rapture and the beginning of Daniel's 70th week. So, will the tribulation begin this May? No. This June? No. It HAS to begin a shevuim, or specific set of seven years ( a "week" as described by Daniel Ch. 9). We are in the middle of a year of jubilee and end of one "shevuim". The rapture, on the other hand, could happen at any moment and a period of time (that will feel like the tribulation to those left behind) will ensue until the peace agreement will be made that officially begins the tribulation period. The Lord Jesus wil return in a sabbatical year, He is Lord of the sabbath! This is not meant to be provacative to anyone, we all do our best to seek out the truth. And we should since the Lord said His people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge). Please, please read J.R. Church and Gary Stearman's(www.prophecyinthenews.com) article about Daniel's pophecy and watch the program. It will really give truth and meaning as to when specific events in biblical history occured and how we can "know" when some prophesied events will most likely happen. This is not to say that this next set of seven years (fall 2008) is Daniel's 70th week. It is just the beginning of a new shevuim.Love,Dawn
