Eddie, the scripture is very clear about us saying who will ascend or descend. (Heaven or Hell) Rom. 10:6-8.
But also know that the scripture says:
 
Galatians
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

And

1 John 2:3,4

3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

 4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 2:16,17

16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Eddie, there are many scriptures that talk about the "Christian" as having a new nature and repeated sin or a life-style of sinful acts is not compatable with this new nature. The very premise of asking "can there be gay Christians" is unacceptable for the very basic reason that the two are at emnity with each other, gay & Christian. One must put to death the deeds of the body or the body will put to death one's spirit. Does this help? David
