Hello Doves,
 
I don't know how many of the Doves are familiar with actor and pastor, Bruce Marchiano.  Bruce played Jesus in The Visual Bible's production of "Matthew" and did an absolutely brilliant job of portraying Christ's love and joy and passion for people.  He now has a wonderful ministry in California and does mission work in South Africa as well as speaking engagements worldwide.

In the left-hand column, under "Archives", you can read the hundreds of posts Bruce has written in his journal.  He also answers questions.  He is an amazing man whose love for Jesus is unparalleled.  Well, it seems, for the past couple of years at least, Satan has been attacking, with reckless abandon, all the people Bruce holds most dear in his life.  Bruce's father became ill in 2006 with a mysterious blood disease and finally passed away in June of 2007.  Bruce hasn't even recovered from the loss of his father and now his only niece, Melinda, whom Bruce is just crazy about, has been diagnosed with lung cancer.  I believe she is only 12 or 13 years old and is such a sweet, happy child who adores Jesus and adores her Uncle Bruce.
 
Wednesday, January 16th, Melinda will undergo surgery to implant a device which administers medicine directly into her bloodstream via her heart.  That will be followed by her second round of chemotherapy.  This precious child is far too young and innocent to have to endure all of this.
 
We've seen plenty of miracles here on 5 Doves as a result of our collective prayers.  I'm asking that you keep both Melinda and Bruce in your prayers until this child is completely healed.  If you aren't familiar with Bruce Marchiano, please take some time to read his messages and you will understand why he is under such an all-out attack.  This man probably loves Jesus more than anyone I've ever met and the enemy doesn't take kindly to that kind of divine love. You can also register on his website to receive newsletters and intercessory prayer requests.  That way, Bruce can update you directly on Melinda's progress and God's miracles.
