I don't know about you, but I'm looking at a time where the threat of nuclear proliferation is probably more real than ever before with the world economy on the verge of collapse. And on top of that, we have a Middle East that could experience peace for the first time with Jerusalem as a major sticking point (Zechariah 12:3).

Many prophecy experts believe that this is exactly the turmoil the world will be facing just before the rapture of the church and the subsequent seven-year tribulation period.

My comments: I fully agree with the above! On every prophecy board out there, people are talking heavily about the economy right now -- being on the bubble -- and about to burst!!! I think that life will CONTINUE on as "ordinary" right up to the rapture, [building, buying/selling, marrying, having families, planting gardens, going out to eat, etc.] but that it will be the rapture that will BE the catalyst that will bring the economy down completely ~ thus, igniting the need for the mark of the beast, and which will also help explain the third & fourth seal judgments (people all over the world dying from starvation; unable to afford to eat!)

The good news is ~ for those who become Christians after the rapture (and yes, there will be a great harvest of souls then! Rev 7:9-14) and even though many will die during the trib from starvation from either not being able to afford to eat, or by refusing to accept the mark of the beast, yet ~ once in heaven, they will not hunger any more nor thirst any more!! **EVER**!!
