"Budding Almond Tree"

Doves,

I have been considering the significance of the budding of the Almond tree as the “watching” tree.

I don’t really have the time to go into all the details right now, but the Almond tree will bud before the rest of the trees.  It is a firstling so to speak.

Zec 3:1-9  And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.  (2)  And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: [is] not this a brand plucked out of the fire?  (3)  Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.  (4)  And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.  (5)  And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.  (6)  And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,  (7)  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.  (8)  Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they [are] men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.  (9)  For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone [shall be] seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

I believe Joshua the high priest is prophetic picture of the two witnesses as well as Zerubbabel.  Just like Joshua and Caleb were prophetic of the two witnesses of the promised land.

Joshua son of Nun was of the tribe of Ephraim.  Prophetically Moses spoke of Joseph:

Deu 33:17  His glory [is like] the firstling of his bullock, and his horns [are like] the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they [are] the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they [are] the thousands of Manasseh.

I don’t really know, but just as Jesus was transfigured before his crucifixion and stood between Moses and Elijah, perhaps there will be a transfiguration when we are clothed with garments of righteousness.

Back when I lived in Arizona back in 1995 or 1996, I had a dream in which I walked into a small church and saw glory on the faces of the saints.  I asked one lady because I was aware it was a dream, “When is this?”  She replied, “February”.  At that moment I awoke.  Now years later, I am wondering if I will see the glory of God on the faces of the saints in February…. THIS FEBRUARY???

For my own reasons, I have wondered if February 22nd would be significant.

2/22/2007 = 2243 days from 1/1/2001

Strong’s 2243g = Elijah.

This morning I was reading Grace for the Moment by Max Lucado and saw on Feb 22, the devotional was:

CHANGED TO HIS LIKENESS

So…maybe?
