"Gary & Sharon:  Gladiator"

Thank you both for the kind words about the poem:  Gladiator Life

I love writing because I really don’t feel like it’s me – more like a vessel.  God shares these tender things with us all in his special and personal way.

I really found Jesus when I lost my family through divorce just before the movie came out.  Though my family was not crucified/hung I felt his pain, and his desperate hope for the future.  I love his conversation at the beginning with Marcus Aurelius, who is a great father figure, played by Richard Harris, who played Abraham as well in the move Abraham.

I could go on and on.  My birthday happens to be May 5th and my deep loss started just before this.  The movie was like a birthday present to me and I glean more and more from it as I go on.  It touches a deep chord in me.  I’m so glad you appreciate it to – it’s fun to share.  Just wait until the Great Feast – I’m sure we’ll have fun for days sharing :)

Blessings,

Tony
