"A Little Help Please"

To any Dove who fells that they can explain:

I have been studying Daniel chapter nine, specifically verses 24 through 27.  I understand the meaning in verse 24 as the 70 weeks (70 times 7 years or 490 years) as the time of judgment for Israel.

Verse 25 explains that from “. . . the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks. . .” or 69 times 7 years or 483 years.  This leaves one week (or 7 years) of judgment still to come.  I understand that scholars have determined that from the time of the decree to rebuild the temple to the birth of the Messiah was approximately 483 years.

My problem comes with verse 26 that states “. . . And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off. . .” or 62 times 7 years or 434 years.

If the phrase “shall Messiah be cut off” refers to the crucifixion, what point is the beginning of the 434 years?  What happened 434 years before the crucifixion?

If there is only seven years left for the judgment of Israel, what happened to the other seven weeks (49 years) not mentioned in verse 26?  Did it take 49 years from the decree to rebuild the temple to the completion of the rebuilding?

Can someone give me a timeline with years both in Jewish and European form?

Many thanks
