Dear Tony,I enjoyed your post on Noah and the Rapture. Last week, I was listening to a sermon on the internet about Noah and heard something that you might want to add to your study. The Hebrew word for the pitch that was used to cover the inside and the outside of the ark is "kaphar." It can mean "to cover over, atone for sin, and make reconciliation." (Check the Hebrew translation for Genesis 6:14 on the Blue Letter Bible website.) This confirms your analogy of the pitch or tar to the blood of Christ.
