"Mini-testimony"

Dear friends:

May 2007 be a year of great blessing and health for you!

Earlier I shared the below testimony with a few health-conscious friends.

Talking about myself is something I try to avoid, so let me just give you a mini-version of my health testimony.  I will keep it brief.  May it bless you.

I am 76 years old and most all my male relatives died decades ago in their 50s.  By the world’s standards, I have been living on borrowed time.  The genes are not in my favor.

Yet I have not had a physical in 18 years and have not seen a doctor in 14 years, and that visit was not intended.  I have zero pain, and have not taken any prescription medicine in many years, and the last time was an antibiotic due to a tooth abscess.

Why have I not been to the doctor?  For one reason, I got tired of doctors always giving me bad news, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or whatever.  I decided to believe God’s “good news” and trust Him for my health.  Also, after a lot of study, I became disenchanted with the medical industry.  That is not to say I will never see a doctor, and I thank God for some of the things they can do, but I first go a better route.

About 14 years ago I stopped by a military medical clinic to get some free cough medicine for a nagging cough.  Unavoidably, the technician did a routine test, which later led a specialist informing me that I had a serious, incurable problem and he wanted to perform immediate surgery.

I told him I would think about it, but should have been honest and told him that I would pray about it.

I did pray about it, and got many others praying, and I never went back to the doctor.  God flooded me with healing Scriptures and promises (see below), one of which was Psalm 118:8:  “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” I knew exactly what God said about healing as I had studied the subject extensively, and I even wrote the 700 Club healing tract in about 1980 when I was working for CBN, a tract that was used for years.  I was faced with a big decision: “Will I believe God or not believe God?”  (We all must make that decision.)  I decided to believe, and have never been sorry.  I have since had two more major health challenges and God has remained faithful, and as He promised, He has delivered me from all my afflictions (Psalm 34:19).

Daily I confess and claim God’s promises for healing and health.  See my essay on this and many Scriptures at http://choicesforliving.com/spirit/part4/healing.htm, and similar articles at http://choicesforliving.com/spirit/part4/partiv.htm.

This past weekend I was at a nearby park playing basketball with some teenagers.  I don’t have the stamina of an 18-year-old, but I can still shoot and pass well, and I still get around good!  (And I am shocked at the lack of stamina of some of the teens I have played with.)

God sometimes heals and provides health supernaturally and sometimes naturally, helping the body perform the way He designed it.  That is where glyconutrition comes in....

In 1997, through a missionary friend at Campus Crusade for Christ International, over a sandwich at the mall, my wife and I were introduced to Mannatech and Ambrotose.  I have studied nutrition for some 30 years but I have never seen anything as revolutionary and pervasively beneficial as Ambrotose, with so much science behind it, as well as medical doctor testimonials.  (See www.choicesforliving.com.)

There is no doubt in my mind that God has used Ambrotose to help keep me healthy the past 10 years, and will continue to do so.  That is why I am so passionate about telling and reminding others about glyconutrition.  My passion is from study, personal experience and conviction.

Bottom line: (1) Trust God for your health (and know and believe what He says about it), and (2) provide the body what it needs to perform the way the Creator designed it, providing not just glyconutrition, but other important nutrients as well, and avoiding unhealthful habits.  But of all the nutrients I have discovered, I place Ambrotose at the top of the list of importance.

I promised a mini-version, so will stop for now.

God bless you and, again, have a great and healthy new year.

Jim

P.S.  Yes, if Jesus tarries, someday it will be my appointed time to leave this earth to be with Him.  No problem. But by God’s grace, like Moses, I plan to go out healthy!!!  There is nothing in the Bible that says we have to be sickly, weak, and in pain before our exit.
