I clicked on the link and read the interesting
article and saw the photos of the headless gods of Nemrut Dagi, Turkey.
Did anyone besides me notice the similarity of the name of the place, Nemrut
to Nimrod? Since most of the gods of ancient religions stem from Nimrod,
I figured there must be some connection here, as these are the gods depicted.
Different cultures had different names for the same god, and some are surprisingly
similar.
I did some googling as I was curious,
and discovered that yes, the names are the same. Nemrut = Nimrod, and the
name of the mountain is Mt. Nimrod. It was named after King Nimrod, who
ruled this area, and is a dormant volcano. The temperature of the nearby
lake is warm, which indicates the continuing volcanic activity.
The coming antichrist will also rule the world from his
kingdom in Babylon, and there are many parallels between Nimrod and the
