May I tell some of his story that I count myself honoured to know ...

I first became aware of Barry about 1997 when I was encouraged by some
brethren in the Lord to get (back) on to the computer, but to use it
wisely ... serving our Lord.

I was encouraged by a fairly new believer then, another John, an high
school teacher in San Francisco, that was tasked then (by Clinton) to
get HS's on to the web ... so John helped me get my first web pages up
and running in some space he let me have, even suggesting the name
HECOMES ... (which I later moved to geocities free webspace).

This led me to many others ... including Barry and also 5 doves ...
Baruch HaShem!

(A little further background ... Some years ago, I was also
privileged, by my big sister, to meet her friends at her church, the
Bruno's, who had pioneered the Toronto Jewish Mission in Toronto,
Ontario, Canada, right after WWII.  I was privileged to take Mrs.
Bruno shopping for about two of her last years with us ... and Mrs.
Bruno, and others, taught me that if I wanted to witness to Jewish
people, who tended to revile at the name Jesus or Christian because of
the German 'christians' slaughtering them under Hitler ... I should
use exclusively, with them, the names Yeshua, Messiah, and use
(mostly) the same scriptures that were available in 33 ... and that
many (most) Jews ... did not really know their own scriptures.)

So ... in my sensing that Barry was a valuable person in Israel to
witness to ... and to also gain insight from, re. what I was
especially watching closely at that time, that 7 year covenant with
many ( Rab[im] in the original ) ... of Daniel 9:27 ... I attempted to
write him for information and friendship ... and to encourage him also
... (in the scriptures.)

He most graciously answered questions I asked him, by e-mail,
especially, back in about November 2000, re. the events that had taken
place at the end of that 7 years ... Sep/Oct 2000 ... in Jerusalem,
... on that Holy Mountain ...  Barak, who was then still PM of Israel,
had given over the care of the mount to the (God of the) Muslim
security/police.  A very great abomination indeed ... that seems to be
further behind/(and causative of) this time of Jacob's sorrows ...
which I believe is that time talked of in Daniel 12 as the time of the
end ... the time of the end ... when Michael will stand up for his
people, and when at the very end of that time ... Daniel too, was
told, that he will arise to receive his (eternal) lot/inheritance in
the land of Israel.

In the summer of 2006, I was privileged to spend/host the greater part
of two days with Barry, in Toronto. It was from an e-mail he had just
sent, (with his Toronto phone number), that I discovered that Barry
was staying just a few blocks from me (for awhile then with a a friend
who I later met ... a delightful Jewish lady and her nominal christian
husband - pray for them too, please.)

I learned that Barry was a Canadian, by birth. Born in Winnipeg, the
capital city of the Province of Manitoba, Canada.  That there, he
graduated from University as a teacher ... then later went to Israel
to get his Masters degree and also served in the IDF and was in
Lebanon.  He is very concerned for his family, back in Israel,
especially his son who may have to soon spend time in the now so
demoralized IDF, that seems now set up to only loose.

Then, some several weeks later, on Barry's way back from a speaking
tour in the USA, he phoned me from the Niagara Falls area, to come and
rescue him from where he was staying ... So I was then privileged to
let him have my apt for one night. (I was working the night shift
then.)

When Barry saw my tiny quarters, he phoned his friend Deb, just a few
blocks away, to stay there the next night, from where I chauffeured
him around town and to the Toronto International Airport ... Barry was
on route to Vancouver, to transfer there to a plane on route to
Alaska, where a (Godly Christian) friend had offered to host him while
he was still recovering from the still recent 'stroke' and then
'head-on-car-crash' attempts on his life. (Barry's friends in Israel
had advised him to leave before he was finished off.)

It turned out, that Barry was prevented, in Vancouver, by the US
customs officials there at the airport, to board a plane into Alaska
(USA).  So he found himself on the streets of Vancouver, still hurting
from that crash and stroke.

Fortunately, he found there, a relative, with whom he is still, I
believe, staying ... temporarily.

Please, doves, let's join in prayer for Barry and his family's care
and salvation ...

Barry had told me, in the summer, very clearly, that he had come to
see that his (and Israel's) best and most probably only true friends
these days were ...

(evangelical / messianic) christians ...

and so he was pinning his immediate future hopes for survival on these
... and was knowing that it was mainly these who were now listening to
his investigative journalism and paying for his books / CD's /
presentations ... even though he was (graciously) resisting their
message that Yeshua was / is the true King / Saviour of Israel who
will yet save all the remnant of Israel (and the world).
