This is what I jotted down of what Pat Robertson thought
that he heard from the Lord regarding 2006:
- Severe shaking world wide.
- CBN is in for a year of humility...not to boast over what
they have done but to give God credit. God is increasing His blessings
on CBN.
-
- We are not to be troubled but there is going to be
panic, disaster, devastation, terror. I
warn my people through my prophets. Amos 4. Prepare
to meet your God.
-
- People of Israel will repudiate strong leadership because
they are desperate for peace. Bibi (Netanyahu) will be defeated.
-
- Alioto confirmed.
-
- War in Iraq will come to a
successful conclusion.
-
- Republicans stay in charge.
-
- CBN will be a beacon of hope.
-
- God's hand of judgment for sin and blaspheme. I
control the plans of man.
-
- For my people I am a refuge.
-
- There will be tsunamis, earthquakes.
-
- It will be bad for the sinners and the hand of the Lord
will be felt. Showers of blessings upon His people.
He's batting around 50%, which is what I find true of most
"prophets" these days. This is why I take "words from the Lord" with
a MASSIVE grain of salt anymore. There is just WAY too much prophesying
in the flesh going on anymore. You want a word from the Lord, you best
seek it yourself directly from God.
There is no doubt that we are IN "the end times", and difficulties
and sorrows are going to increase as we approach the time of the Lord's return.
But I would take all these calamitous "words from the Lord" with a serious
grain of salt. Eventually all these terrible things will happen.
We KNOW this because they are predicted in the book of Revelation. But
do not be consumed with fear about specific prophecies. I think sometimes
people hear what others are "prophesying" and they start "prophesying" similar
things. A classic case in point was "Y2K" scare. Yes, Y2K was
a serious undertaking my major corporations and our government. But
there was an unbelievable amount of "false prophesying" going on in 1999 spelling
major calamities for 1/1/2000. None of which appeared. So take
these things with a grain of salt. Just draw close to the Lord, so if
something ever does happen, you are in the right place at the right time,
where HE wants you to be. Meanwhile, keep on occupying until the Lord
returns.
Deu 18:22 When
a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow
not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not
spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt
not be afraid of him.
Deu 18:20 But
the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which
I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other
gods, even that prophet shall die.
Thank goodness we are no longer under the Law.
