Head of nuclear watchdog: Iran will announce build-up of its 3,000-centrifuge facility next month

Dr. Mohammed ElBaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, said Iran expects to start installing thousands of centrifuges in an underground facility next month. This would pave the way to large-scale uranium enrichment, a step towards making nuclear weapons.

This was confirmed by the US military in Iraq. Nine to 12 insurgent gunmen masquerading as American troops, speaking English, carrying US weapons and driving American-type military vehicles, captured four US soldiers and took them from the governor’s compound in the Shiite city alive. First they killed a US soldier. Three of the four were later found shot dead and one mortally wounded 25 miles away from the governor’s office. The insurgents also seized an unclassified US computer.
IDF special units uncover two Hizballah bunkers in Israeli territory east of the Biranit outpost

The bunkers contained food and digging tools - apparently used by Hizballah before the war of summer 2006. They were blown up in a controlled explosion.
