1 Thess 5:1-2 "Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to
write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come
like a thief in the night." NIV
 
Last night I couldn't sleep, so I stayed up very late and watched a
movie. A police patrol car went by my house and shined his spotlight down
my driveway and into my living room. I thought he was probably looking
for a prowler. I looked at the clock and it was 2:35 AM. This clock is
one minute fast, so it was actually 2:34 AM.
 
We have had record breaking cold nights for the last few days. One of my
pipes froze and burst. When I got out of bed (later this morning) I went
outside to turn off the faucets that I had left on to keep the pipes from
freezing again. I discovered that 'a thief in the night' had removed the
lock from my sister's storage shed and had taken a portable stereo. He
left it behind my storage shed. The policeman's light must have scared
him and he didn't want to be caught with 'the goods'.
 
Could this be a sign that Jesus is returning soon?
