I promised I would give you all an update on Carter, the 17 year old boy who was given only a one percent chance of survival by the attending physician this Christmas weekend.  http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/dec2006/barbiem1229.htm.  There is no question that God has performed miracles in this situation!

In less than three weeks Carter is now back home walking and talking and according to all of the tests, he has no brain damage.   In fact other than a few stiff muscles, a soft diet (due to the damage from the tubes in his throat),  and some short term memory loss, he doesn't have any physical damage at all.   He plans to return to school in about a week.  Praise God and thank you for your prayers!

I wanted to report to you earlier but have been so busy with work and attending to my dad who is dying.   Tonight was the worst.  He couldn't talk or move...only look at me with really sad eyes.  He is in a lot of pain.  It is very difficult for me as there just isn't the resources available to give him all the care he needs.  Please pray for him and ask God to give him great peace and take away all of his pain.   His name is Francis.  Thank you.
