"Is the whale trying to tell us something?"

The Northern Bottlenosed Whale normally lives in the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean.  It has now been spotted in the Thames River.  See: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/4631396.stm

There have been several large earthquakes in the North Atlantic along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge in the past few weeks, see: http://www.iris.edu/seismon/

Many scientific observations have been made on the strange behavior of animals preceding earthquakes and other natural disasters.  Whales have the ability to echo-locate using sonar.  Does this whale sense an impending life-threatening event?

Is this coincidence?  Or, is this whale running for cover?
