"Re: In Loving Memory of
Linda Markland"
Dear brother Bramlett,
With my deepest repect, I do not think Richard Markland
is trying to further the Seventh Day Adventist theology. While I fully
understand your concern, I had personally witnessed this man's sorrow and
despair up to the point of his wife's passing from a horrible death by
cancer. I am a personal friend and associate of Peggy McIIveene, and she
forwarded me many transcripts of this man's trial, along with some astonishing
poetry which poured out from his weeping heart as he sat at his wife's
bedside up until her final moment.
I too am wondering where he is heading with this, and
have inquired Peggy on this subject. But I also understand that Richard
is still in the process of bereavement, and I duly believe he is venting
in this manner in an effort to come to terms with many things. Therefore,
I consider this a temporary period of adjustment in his walk which is most
needed. These t! wo wonderful Christians were certainly a powerful role
model for what God intended as two in a marriage becoming one mortally
and spiritually. I myself felt a portion of this brother's pain virtually
from beginning to end, and cannot count the times I sat here and wept and
prayed for him and Linda's behalf. I personally think the Lord is leading
him through his trial and into a wonderful service, as I have seen a writing
gift in this man which greately surpasses my own pen. This blessed man
has always shown a very fine fruit before my eyes.
Therefore, I beg the patience of yourself and others
to perhaps see if his current line of reasoning evolves into something
which may essentially benefit him and us as well.
With that said, I tip my hat with deep respect to you
Mr. Bramlett. I've read your articles for quite some time now, and assuredly,
you remain a blessing to all of us. May the Lord c! ontinue shining His
love and comfort on us all in these last days.
YBIC,
Richard Minch
