"The Eagle and the Bear"

The Eagle and the Bear

A lost and diseased Eagle worries more of the peril from her enemies than she does for the very disease which is depriving her of her needed strength and energy.

Rather than seeking the needed food and water to revive her, she constantly dodges and swoops around the dangers in her midst.

Hiding quietly behind a row of trees lies a hungry Bear who has just awakened from a long, winter hiberbation. The Bear patiently watches as the Eagle flies frantically around the meadow, in a struggle of futility. Still lethargic from her long, wintry nap the Bear awaits a time when the Eagle will expend the last of her energy and crash to the ground. Then the Bear will savor a tasty meal. And as the bear contracts the disease from the meal she will devour, her own de! mise is inevitable.

Nevertheless, the Eagle will have flown the way of the Dodo.

"Wake up America! Return to the gardens of truth from which you were born, before it's too late! Drink heartedly from the very fountains of water which once made you strong and mighty! Cure your disease first, and then you will have the needed strength and energy to flee the peril of your enemies. Otherwise, all you are doing is flying lost and blind right into the slavering mouth of the Bear!

Jesus is life, and His Word is the cure! All you have to do is land long enough to become replenished! He will then keep the hungry Bear at bay."

And as the desperate call resounds emptily throughout the quiet meadow, it is discovered that the progressing disease has greately hindered the Eagle's sharp hearing and eyesight. Her struggles and death throes continue.

!
A young, singing Songbird continues singing his sad song of empathy nevertheless.

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timopthy 3:1-5)

“And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 39:6)

"And when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28)
