Israel's Political Earthquake
I had predicted to him at the end of November that "Bibi" Netanyahu would be the next Prime minister and that God would cause events that would make the "seemimg" impossible happen. It is hard to imagine anything more seemingly impossible than the democratic election of a terrorist government by the Palestinian people.
I say it seemed impossible because our president seemed so convicted of his faith in democracy and the existence of a moderate Islamic majority within any society.
Even after the election results were made public, President Bush still can't seem to let go of the completely erroneous idea that democracy will heal the Muslim insanity that is induced by the Koran.
Bush's faith in democracy is ill-placed where the majority of the population are Islamic-inspired terrorists, which is what the Palestinian election results spelt out in giant letters.
The so-called 'moderate Islamic majority' that allegedly exists within the Palestinian population cast their ballots for Hamas -- knowing full well that the existence of Hamas is dedicated to but one singular purpose -- the destruction of Israel and the eradication of the Jewish population from the Middle East.
Hamas is an openly terrorist organization that makes no pretense of political rehabilitation. It campaigned on its pledge to continue to wage terror on Israel, to make no compromise on its charter calling for Israel's destruction, and to continue the jihad until the Middle East is free of Jews.
Gaza's Hamas leader, Mohammad Rantisi, spelled out the strategy of Hamas from henceforth, "We shall hold talks as though there is no terror and wage terror as thought there are no talks."
Given the opportunity, the majority of Palestinians chose terror.
The catastrophic 'Road Map to Peace' was leading Israel directly down the path to self-destruction. Now, even Israel's dreamers in the Knesset will have to acknowledge that peace with a nation of terrorists is an illusion.
And that the only national leader in Israel to articulate, in advance, what the Islamic intentions for Israel really are is Bibi Netanyahu. The "self-hating-Jews" of the world will have to step aside and let those with courage take over and defend themselves.
Let us pray that there are still enough "Sabras" to swing the Israeli people back to realizing they will have to fight to remain in the tough neighborhood they live in.
