It is just over a week from when the CIA bombed the suspected hideout of Usama Bin Laden's deputy Ayman al-Zawahri. Now, after almost a year Usama Bin Laden speaks…
"We do not mind offering you a long-term truce with fair conditions that we adhere to," he said. "We are a nation that God has forbidden to lie and cheat. So both sides can enjoy security and stability under this truce so we can build Iraq and Afghanistan, which have been destroyed in this war. There is no shame in this solution, which prevents the wasting of billions of dollars that have gone to those with influence and merchants of war in America." - Audio tape of Usama Bin Laden aired by Aljazeera 01-19-06
In having Usama Bin Laden's audio speech come out, several things come to mind. Is it possible that al-zawahri is dead and "the troops" need shoring up? Or does he need to show that he is alive because possibly Al-Zawahri really is dead?
Here is what some others are saying.

I personally do not see a true "truce" being set here. What I believe will take place is Usama Bin Laden will exercise what is called "The Quraysh Model" of Meccan conquest.
"Three years after the battle of Badr, a 10,000 man Meccan army again laid siege to Medina. The Quraysh tribe of Mecca was not able to conquer Medina, and Mohammad was not strong enough to defeat them. So Mohammad signed a ten year treaty of non-aggression with Mecca.
By 630 A.D. less than a year later, Mohammad had built up his army. He stormed Mecca by surprise and conquered it, thus making himself ruler of the city of his birth." (1)
It is known that Iran are the ones who sets the marching orders for Usama Bin Laden utilizing plausible denial.
Here is something more. Move north and we find Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad taking his first visit since taking office to go visit Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. A possible reason for the visit is to rebuild an old alliance, an alliance that is also increasingly critical for both countries. Both face mounting US and EU pressure with the threat of international sanctions. Both also hate Israel with a passion. So I would not be surprised to that "wiping Israel off the map" may have crossed the lips a few times.
In my opinion what I see here are some backs are against the wall and plans are being made and quiet possibly "The Quraysh Model" will be initiated.
Tehran plans nuclear weapon test by March
WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Tehran is planning a nuclear weapons test before the Iranian New Year on March 20, 2006 says a group opposed to the regime in Tehran.
The Foundation for Democracy citing sources in the U.S and Iran offered no further information.
The FDI quotes sources in Iran that the high command of the Revolutionary Guards Air Force have issued new orders to Shahab-3 missile units, ordering them to move mobile missile launchers every 24 hours in view of a potential pre-emptive strike by the U.S. or Israel. The order was issued Tuesday, Jan. 16.
The group says the launchers move only at night, and have been instructed to change their positions "in a radius of 30 to 35 kilometers." Prior to the new orders the Shahab-3 units changed position on a weekly basis. Advance Shahab-3 units have been positioned in Kermanshah and Hamadan province, within striking distance of Israel. Reserve mobile launchers have been moved to Esfahan and Fars province. (2)
With all that is going on, I find the events at hand very consequential. Seems, I remember reading something like this before.
Being a student of Bible Prophecy as well as running Prophezine, one of the most popular websites dealing with Bible Prophecy; it is situations like we are seeing today that cause flags and alarms to go off in my head.
The reason I say this is that we have read of a situation like this being foretold in the Bible.
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army-your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops-the many nations with you. (Ezek 38:3-6)
So who is Gog, Tubal, Cush, etc?
To figure out the different countries, who have a role to play we need to start at the beginning with the Table of Nations found in Genesis 10:1-5. This is where we first see these names appear.
Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. (Genesis 10:1 -5)
Ok, so who are these people talked about in Ezekiel 38: 3-6 today?
Magog = the Scythians / Russians
Persia = Iran
Cush = Ethiopia
Phut (or Put) = Libya
Gomer = the Cimmerians / Ukraine
Togarmah = Turkic Tribes / Armenia
Meshech & Tubal = ancient Anatolia / TurkeyWe learn in Ezekiel that a land named Gog is going to lead this confederacy in a war against Israel. But the issue is that they will be pulled into this event against their desires and will.
And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: (Ezekiel 38:4)
Ezekiel talks about Gog having "hooks into thy jaws." Ever go fishing? If you have you know what that means. The fish is pulled along weather they want to or not.

It is appearing to me that we are starting to see the groundwork spoken about in Ezekiel coming to pass. The board is out and the pieces are being placed.
So what does Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have to do with this?
As talked about before, one of the primary countries is Persia or Iran.
But here is something interesting. If you read Ezekiel 27 it speaks of the destruction of Damascus / Tyre.
The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more. (Ezekiel 27:36)
Are you starting to see the pieces fall into place?
Let's throw one more stick into the fire. Israel is drilling for oil. A company named Zion Oil and Gas out of Dallas Texas is doing just that.
" In 1985, during a visit to Israel, John M. Brown (founder and CEO) became inspired and dedicated to finding oil and gas in Israel, and he started the process that led to the Joseph Project. During the next fourteen years he made several trips each year to Israel, hired oil and gas consultants in Israel and Texas, met with Israeli government officials, made direct investments with local exploration companies, and assisted Israeli exploration companies in raising money for oil and gas exploration in Israel. This activity led Mr. Brown, together with others who had assisted him during those years, to form Zion Oil and Gas, Inc. in April 2000 in order to receive the award of a small onshore petroleum license from the Israeli government. Upon its formation, Mr. Brown and the others contributed to Zion all of the technical, economic, legal and financial data they had accumulated over the years relating to oil and gas exploration in Israel." CEO John Brown believes that there are very large reserves sitting there. What would that do to the price of oil that is controlled by most of the Middle East? The same people, who control the oil, do not have a love for Israel either.
The times that we are living in are very exciting indeed. As I stated before, the board is out and the pieces are being placed at a very fast pace.
In my personal opinion I think things are going to get very heated up in the Middle East, more so than ever before.
You see, God Himself will deliver Israel from the Gog Invasion.
"And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward." (Ezekiel 39:21 - 22)
