"RE: Soraya  "Gog/Magog War""

Blessings Soraya,

Forgive me for complicating the teaching, but it appears as if you had little difficulty comprehending the message. (With the help of Prophecy in the News.). LOL!  I have been responding to questions concerning the teaching on another website, and some of my answers to questions might give you and others a clearer picture of what I am trying to present.

"Israel" is a title that was initially bestowed by God to Jacob, and passed down through the generations through genealogy and to those who joined themselves with those people's (like the mixed multitude, or sojourners.).

Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Strongs: Israel = "God prevails"

I know that some people speak of "spiritual Israel," but here is Strongs opinion on that

".There is one verse containing the words spiritual israel (KJV). It is not an exact phrase match: "

Hsa 9:7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know [it]: the prophet [is] a fool, the spiritual man [is] mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

Therefore, Israel is a title for a group of people and not a spiritual entity. The title was given to Ephraim (as the g! reater) and his brother Menassah. The lands that they inhabit might be referred to that title, if they are the dominant people or if that land was given to them by God.

A couple of things I left out of the initial post.
Ephraim's sign was a "bull". The United States approach to international politics and war are of the character of the "bull."

Menassah's sign was the unicorn. I initially was at a loss to understand how Great Britain would be represented by a unicorn. I finally asked the Lord.

And the Lord said, "What is a unicorn?"

An animal that didn't make it on the ark? Maybe, a horse with a horn.

And the Lord said, "What is a unicorn?"

And by revelation the answer came to ! me. One horn!

Then I remembered that a "horn" in Daniel was the ruler or authority of a nation.

Then I thought, "Great Britain -- one horn."

Of course! Menassah will be many nations with one ruler. One horn! Isn't it said, "The sun never sets on the British Empire."

Blessings ....,

...asks:
"It is truly difficult or possibly impossible for any individual to claim to be "biblical Israel." But if we look at the description that God gives of biblical Israel in the latter days, we can look around to see who matches."

...replies:

For any individual to claim to be from "biblical Israel", he would h! ave had to trace his genealogy back over 2500 years. Reading many of the attempts to trace Israel when they were dispersed to Assyria will give anyone a migraine. Most migrated to Europe, but many traveled in the other directions and some probably stayed and intermarried.. Most of these people didn't record their genealogy's. (People can come up with some very strange doctrines when messing with these genealogy's. But that is no reason to shy away from biblical truth.) .

Judah was quite different. I studied many years ago under a Christian man who was the son of a rabbi of the tribe of Benjamin. And he could trace his genealogy through rabbis all the way back before the Babylonian captivity. Most of the people that "biblical Israel" mingled and intermarried with, were not that "into" recording genealogy's. (Was there ever a need? The Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah.).. Therefore, I stated that it is close to impossible for any individual to! make this claim.

Now, many people are looking for the "antichrist". How will they identify him? They take the many descriptive prophecies concerning the "antichrist", and try to see who matches today. I am doing the same thing looking for "biblical Israel." You look for the prophecies that have not been fulfilled that are applied to "biblical Israel." Then you look to see what group of people matches those prophecies. This will not give you a specific individual, but it may give you a "land" or nation. The original article I was replying to was about "Israel" in the war of Gog/Magog. So I used the first "latter day" prophecies regarding biblical Judah and Israel, along with the description of "Israel" from the Ezekiel Gog/Magog passages.

Does that help you, .....?

Shalom,

Blessings,

The number one purpose for all of the genealogies is to present the "Seed." And that Seed is singular, which is Messiah Yeshua/Jesus. In the end, the only question is, are you "in Christ" or not? Anybody who is "in Christ" could correctly claim to have been grafted into the tribe of Judah. Because our Redeemer is the King of Judah. Jesus came preaching the Kingdom of God to the tribe which held the sceptre. He now holds it, and will return to claim His inheritance. The inheritance was given to the tribe of Joseph (Israel).

The spiritual relationship has the preeminence as you have clearly expressed. But the father is also fulfilling His Word in the natural . He performs this to show who He is, and to draw the natural into the spiritual. But He fulfills His Word on both levels. Therefore, those with the eyes to see and the ears to hear may recognize His ! hand in the natural.

I always share this information with reluctance, because of the abuse and misuse of these truths. The Lord is no respecter of persons or genealogies!

Shalom,

The Lord showed me a while back that one major deception/confusion many believers have in understanding the prophecies is the constant mixing of Israel and Judah. I admit, it is very difficult, because at times they are one, and another time they are separated. And that difference will greatly change your modern-day interpretation of what is presently happening in this earth. In the future the Lord will combine them together and they will be known as Israel. But they each receive different judgments in different mann! ers at different locations. So you can't mix up the two and come away comprehending what God is really doing.
Who does Joseph say "Israel" is in the last days?

Gen 48:5 And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, [are] mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

Gen 48:16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

"Israel" is the descendants of the two sons of Joseph, and they will grow into a multitude in the! midst of the earth.

Gen 49:22 Joseph [is] a fruitful bough, [even] a fruitful bough by a well; [whose] branches run over the wall:

"Israel" will be very fruitful (overflowing), with many branches. Now branches could be genealogies or different governments ( "in the midst of the earth.").

Gen 49:23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot [at him], and hated him:

Many people will hate "Israel" and try to kill "Israel".

Gen 49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty [God] of Jacob; (from thence [is] the shepherd, the stone of Is! rael:)

Gen 49:25 [Even] by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

Gen 49:26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

It is God who is going to make "Israel" very strong and He will help them. And God will give "Israel" many blessings. Blessings above Jacobs progenitors (ancestors). Blessings from the heavens above and blessings of the deep (lieth under -minerals, oil, blessings from the soil, airpower, etc. ). Blessings of the breasts and the womb ( Probably abundant nurturing and offspring.). ! And Joseph was separate from his brothers.

Now these attributes are very general and might apply to many. But they will not apply to everyone. In the "latter days" the most prosperous people are in the West. Judah and Jerusalem have many of these same attributes but not to the degree as the West. The most abundant "blessings" on a people today would be north America.

Now let's look at the attributes of "Israel" from Ezekiel at the time of the Gog/Magog War.

Eze 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land [that is] brought back from the sword, [and is] gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

This "Israel", "in the latter years" was brought from the sword. (They were once defeated -could apply to many different people/nations). They were gathered out of many people, therefore they will be a mixture, unlike the Germans in Germany or French and France. And the land they were gathered to (the mountains of Israel) "have always been waste". They were not previously developed with cities and such (North America). They were brought out of nations (pleural) and they will be very safe there. (This isn't the modern state of Israel).

Eze 38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

Eze 38:12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places [that are! now] inhabited, and upon the people [that are] gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Eze 38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Again, this "Israel" is in an extremely safe position without walls, bars or gates. And the purpose Gog is attacking, is for a spoil. He's coming on a people that were gathered out of the nations to a desolate place (wilderness) where they have gotten cattle and goods, gold and silver and dwell safely in the land. They are very prosperous. They aren't struggling to su! rvive. They are laid-back and watching TV.

We are simply taking the prophecies and looking to see what people in the latter days fit that prophetic description.

There is also another pattern which can be applied in many different ways.

Joseph, was separated from his brothers and taken into captivity in Egypt (the world). Everybody thought he was dead or lost. But by the power of God, God took a prisoner and made him a prince of that land. He was extremely blessed and was very prosperous. He also had control of the strongest army in the world at that time. When his brothers were distressed, Joseph provided land, provisions and protection. This whole process was repeated in the 20th century with Great Britain (Menassah) and the United States (Ephraim) with regards to Israel (Judah- Joseph's brother.).

Shalom, John
