"Shocking, revealing quote from White House"

Dear friends:

Sadly, today the White House actually said that God's Words are "inappropriate and offensive and really don't have a place in this or any other debate."

I am not making this up.  It's in the news today!  Isn't that a shock?  But revealing.

In context, the Associated Press reports that the White House sharply criticized Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson on Friday for suggesting that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine punishment for "dividing God's land."

"Those comments are wholly inappropriate and offensive and really don't have a place in this or any other debate," presidential spokesman Trent Duffy said as Bush traveled to Chicago for a speech.

Pat Robertson made his comments about Israel and Sharon on his TV program, "The 700 Club." ( Full Story)

While we know that the Bush Administration has previously ignored God's will concerning God's land, this subtle, little-noticed news item is the first time to my knowledge that such a blatant, rebellious, official statement has been made.  It may be subtle and little-noticed, but God heard it.  It does not bode well for the nation.

I am not a Bush hater and am generally supportive of his policies, but they are dead wrong on this issue.

Pat Robertson was speaking as a prophet about this, and he is being attacked for it.  It is time for all people of God to boldly stand up, speak up, and prophesy.  If attack comes, let it come.  Our God is stronger than the god of this world.
