Dear friends:

Satan has always tried to destroy the Jewish people, because they are the ones, the Bible says, to whom the oracles of God are given (Romans 3:2), and through whom the Messiah would come.

In Queen Esther's day, the devil tried to use Haman.  But God protected the Jews, Haman's scheme was uncovered, and, they "hanged him on the gallows" (Esther 8:7).  God's justice.

The First Advent came on God's schedule, "in the fullness of time."

After Jesus was born, the devil then tried to use Herod to kill him, by killing all the boy babies in Bethlehem age two and under.  He failed, of course, and later, Herod "was eaten by worms and died" (Acts 12:23).   God's justice.

Satan also used Hitler to try to kill all the Jews, to try to stop Messiah's second coming, which required Israel to be preserved and back in the land.  Hitler failed and later died a deranged suicide as brave Allied troops closed in on him.  God's justice.

Now, Satan is trying to use Islam.  Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has announced his intention of doing what Hitler failed to do.  Sorry, Mr. Mahmoud, but you are heading for a fate similar to Haman, Herod, and Hitler.  Take your choice: the gallows, worms, or suicide?

Or should we say, Haman, Herod, Hitler, and Hamas?  Today we learn that in a shock result Hamas won the Palestinian election.  But no one should be surprised.  The true colors of the Palestinians have now been revealed.  The fraud of the so-called Road Map for Peace has been exposed, at last.

The Road Map was well-intended, but based on a delusion.  Thankfully, that delusion has now been shattered.  Pray for our President, for wisdom and insight.

It will be interesting to see how quickly the compromising EU will cozy up to and embrace Hamas.  Hopefully, the U.S. never will.

With Iran rattling its nuclear sabre, with Hamas now in charge of the P.A., with Sharon still comatose in la la land, the road ahead for Israel and the U.S. is a rough one.

But God's plan and justice will prevail.  Messiah's return will be on schedule and in the fullness of time, just like the first time He came.

The devil always loses and God always wins.  Let us not wring our hands but rejoice, be glad, and be watchful.  Jesus is coming!
