Hospital reported Friday night that third operation in the morning relieved pressure on the brain and removed clots from previous procedures. There is no active bleeding. A catheter is fitted in his brain. Latest CT shows significant improvement.
The neurosurgeons are fighting for Ariel Sharon’s life. Even he survives the massive bleeding stroke he suffered, the medical prognosis is that he will be severely disabled by irreversible brain damage and unable to function normally. Following the latest deterioration, the Sharon family and all his advisers gathered at the Jerusalem hospital. 1,500 foreign correspondents and television teams are camped outside.
