Remember in the book "Hind's Feet
in High Places" where little "Much-afraid"
would seem to be going up the trail to
reach the mountain top and then the
trail would wind down all the way to the
beach or a lower elevation?.... Little
"Much-afraid" would get discouraged
because of the journey not taking her
directly to her desired mountain top..
 
Your discription is very accurate in
describing our "journey to our final
destination" as well...
