1/29/06: Interesting! Lots of Spoiled Terrorist Threats This Week!

I think this in direct response to much intercessory prayer last weekend!
Thanks be to God!
Keep praying everyone!  We are NOT out of the Woods yet!
As things reach a "head" over in the MiddleEast (Iran), expect the U.S. threat level to increase.

Top Stories: US : Threat From Mexican Nationals Importing Explosives to San Francisco
Posted by Douglas J. Hagmann on 2006/1/29 11:47:29 ( )

* 29 January 2006: Somewhere between the official bureaucratic double-speak such as “no specific threat involved” and “doubts to the credibility of the threat,” exists the true nature of threats conveyed within various bulletins issued by agencies of the U.S. federal government. A news report published yesterday in the Ontario, California The Daily Bulletin, written by reporter Sara A. Carter, details the existence of a plot to smuggle high-grade plastic explosives into the U.S., an intelligence bulletin outlining the threat, and equally important, further addresses the issue of border security.

THE PLOT

Through contact with government sources knowledgeable of this specific investigation, the Northeast Intelligence Network confirmed that an internal memo was issued within the Office of Border Patrol in early to mid January, 2005. An Intelligence Bulletin containing more cautious language was disseminated to specific law enforcement officials on January 12 which stated that five Mexican nationals were intending entry into the U.S., carrying nearly undetectable, high-grade plastic explosives hidden within the soles of their modified shoes; their ultimate destination is believed to be San Francisco, California. There, they are to meet with an “unidentified Iraqi national” and make the sale and transfer the explosives. Open-source news reports suggest that the identity of the Iraqi national is not known and further question the credibility of the threat.

A well-vetted government source, knowledgeable of this specific investigation and speaking on strict anonymity to the Northeast Intelligence Network, stated that the Iraqi national has been identified with a reasonable degree of certainty, and added that he has been inside this country since the early 1990’s, having sought “asylum” following the first Gulf war. He is a member of a small cell of Islamic terrorists and former Iraqi Republican Guard members based in the San Francisco area, all of whom are the subjects of ongoing surveillance operations.

This information substantiates the long-time assertions of investigative reporter and best-selling author Jayna Davis, author of The Third Terrorist, that hundreds, if not thousands of Iraqi nationals were permitted entry into the U.S. under the umbrella of political asylum but in reality, are agents of Saddam Hussein’s former Republican guard and terrorists operatives “in-waiting.” Additionally, there is a broad range of Islamic terrorists who are already in place inside the U.S., living and working among us. It is evident, based on information from non-public sources and various memos and bulletins such as the one referenced above, that additional support is being provided through individuals and groups infiltrating thorough our porous borders.

According to public reports pertaining to this matter, Department of Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke confirmed the existence of the document referencing the Mexican aliens, but added that it is an internal memo and that there are doubts to the credibility of the threat. According to press reports, he offered additional convoluted and contradictory statements. Stated Knocke:

"There is no reason to believe at this time that there is any specific threat involved." "Anytime there is specific threat information, we share that information with the parties involved," adding: “The department passes on information to state and local authorities anytime there is specific or credible information. The intelligence, however, would be provided to state and local authorities through a completely different channel."

Information confirmed by the Northeast Intelligence Network determined that a memo was written and from this memo, a bulletin was issued and contained specific information regarding the Mexican aliens and their San Francisco destination. Based on our analysis, it is reasonable to conclude that operations are in progress for an upcoming wave of terrorist attacks within our borders.

Additional detailed analysis, based on more extensive investigation, will be included in the upcoming issue of the HQ INTEL-ALERT Private Intelligence Briefing Newsletter.

Top Stories: US : Seattle Ferry Service Bomb Threat

*The December 19, 2005 issue of the HQ INTEL-ALERT documented surveillance activities of the Washington State Ferry Service by Middle Eastern males in late November and noted of a heightened threat to the ferry service.

28 January 2006: Ferry service on the Seattle waterfront was shut down and evacuated Friday evening after one passenger aboard the ferry Kaleetan overheard another passenger talking about explosives just as the ship was preparing to leave for Bremerton at 6:45 p.m.

The Washington State Patrol was notified and ordered the Colman Dock facility to be shut down, describing the incident as “a credible threat” against the Washington State Ferry System. All ferry service from Colman Dock was suspended, including boats to Bremerton and Bainbridge Island. Susan Harris, spokesperson for the Washington State Ferry System said passengers and cars were unloaded from the Kaleetan, adding that vehicles were being searched if the drivers decided to leave the terminal to drive across Puget Sound via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. A search of the ferry terminal and the ferry Kaleetan using bomb-sniffing dogs turned up no threatening items.

* 28 January 2006: The Northeast Intelligence Network is investigating the strange circumstances surrounding the death of a yet-unidentified man who checked into the extended-stay InTown Suites on South Cooper Street in Arlington, Texas last week and wound up dead in a local hospital. At some point following the man’s death, authorities entered his room to clear out his belongings and found one 14-inch long cylindrical object with plastic caps on each end and wires protruding from one end of the device. A remote control detonation device was also attached to what was later determined to be a bomb. A more extensive search found a second, similar device outside of the dead man’s room by the Fort Worth Bomb Squad.

At this point, authorities are continuing their investigation and are not releasing further details, including the identity of the man, his cause of death or other items found and removed from his room. The Northeast Intelligence Network and investigators of the HQ INTEL-ALERT Private Intelligence Briefing are investigating this matter and will provide additional details as they are developed.

* January 26, 2006: In a briefing at the National Security Agency Wednesday, President Bush stated that he takes the threats made by Osama bin Laden of another attack seriously, and urged Americans to do so as well. In an audiotape released by Osama bin Laden last week, he warned of impending attacks that were being planned within the United States. Speaking of the message, President Bush said that "the terrorists will do everything they can to strike us. I am going to continue to do everything I can within my legal authority to stop them."

*25 January 2006: It was the same U.S.-Canadian border crossing that was closed for two hours last week while guards inspected a Canadian-bound car they suspected of containing a bomb. Yesterday, the border crossing was again closed when California authorities engaged in a shoot-out with Ishtiaq HUSSAIN, 38, and Jose Antonio BARAJAS, 22, both wanted for murder by the Richmond, California police department. Both men were taken into custody by police after an exchange of gunfire on the American side of the border, although reports indicate that BARAJAS was wounded. They were reportedly stopped at a checkpoint within a foot of the Canadian border.

* "I think the first thing we always look for is weapons of mass destruction." --John Miller, FBI Office of Public Affairs

23 January 2006: Although there are no “official” plans to raise the national threat level following last week’s release of an audio message from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, DHS and FBI officials sent a bulletin to 18,000 police agencies across the country, advising them to be more vigilant about suspicious activities. The Northeast Intelligence Network obtained a copy of that bulletin and provided a special threat assessment and analysis report to HQ INTEL-ALERT subscribers.

An imam who teaches false information and history has his course load tripled by campus administrators.

By Lee Kaplan, Communications Director
leekaplan@homelandsecurityus.com

26 January 2006: Readers who follow academic infiltration by subversives on our college campuses are probably familiar with my previous article about my attendance in Imam Amer Araim’s class, Politics of the Middle East 155B, during the last spring semester at Diablo Valley College (DVC), as well as my follow-up article after meeting with DVC’s President, Mark Edelstein, and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Alice Murillo.

So what was the outcome of my investigative reports? Did Diablo Valley College decide to remove Araim from its list of part-time instructors for incompetence or for indoctrinating his students rather than educating them? Did they take responsibility for course curriculum taught by the imam or make corrections like they should?
