I think the reason why the Bush administration embraces the new Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas as a leader not compromised by terror is the same reason why the Israeli leaders embrace Mr. Abbas. I don’t think that we should be very surprised by this because the first time our Lord Jesus Christ was on earth, leaders of that time embraced Barabas (”son of Abbas”) and rejected the Lord. Therefore, since our Lord Jesus Christ is about to return back to earth, we are seeing the present leaders (Israeli & others) embracing the son of Abbas yet again. It’s like returning to the starting point when drawing a circle. The question is whether Israel will benefit by embracing him: Answer is No; because initially they did not benefit.
