Israel Ready To Give PA Security Control

Israel is willing to hand over security responsibilities to the new Palestinian leadership in Gaza and West Bank cities as soon as it is able to tackle the issue, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said in an interview with The New York Times on Wednesday. Mofaz added that Israel is willing to transfer security control of the areas to the Palestinians even before the planned disengagement from the Gaza Strip gets underway later this year.
