Arab League Denounces Israel’s Confiscation of Palestinian Lands

Cairo, Jan. 25 (SANA)

The Arab League denounced the Israeli government’s decision on the annexation of new Israeli settlements to the racial wall of separation, expressing deep concern over Tel Aviv’s intention to confiscate Palestinian lands in the occupied Jerusalem.

" Israeli practices are messages that mean Israel is not concerned in easing tension or keen on holding serious negotiations for reaching a just solution for the Palestinian cause", Spokesman for the Secretary General of the AL Husam Zaki said in a statement to the Middle Eat News Agency MENA on Tuesday.

Zaki also called upon members of the International Quartet Committee on top of which the United States to pressure Israel as to stop its violations and to walk on the path of a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

For his part, Foreign Minister Ahmad Abu al-Ghait said Syria is keen on the Palestinian factions’ unity.

In a statement to press, Abu al-Ghait underlined that there is a continued coordination and communications between Syria and Egypt on all levels.
