"RE: Jim Bramlet "A Gap""

There are many many people out there who don't understand the 70weeks
prophecy given to Daniel from the angel Gabriel.  They see Jesus as being
the prince who confirms (or strenghthens) a covenant from one week.  They
fail to see that this covenant is broken in the middle of the week as it
says in Daniel 11.

They also fail to understand that the prophecy is for Daniel's people (the
House of Judah) and his holy city (Jerusalem).

I have even heard that Daniel 9:26 which has the messiah being cut off as
being Jesus circumcision.

But those of us who understand the prophecy know that there is a gap.  It is
between the 69th week and the 70th week.  Jesus said that Jerusalem will be
trodden underfoot until the fulness of the Times of the Gentiles has come
in.  Paul calls this time the Fulness of the Gentiles.  Then the Church is
removed while God deals once again with Israel for that final week.  We know
that this does mean a return to the old covenant, but Israel being brought
back into the tree of faith.

Sad to say, what CAPS said is tending to be a growing belief amongst our
fellow christians.  Mainly from those who are disalussioned by Jesus not
having come when they wanted him to.  Some have even taken it to the extreme
and now believe that Jesus came in the Spirit and there will not be any
physical return in the future.  This is part of what I believe Paul was
talking about in 2 Thessalonians - The Falling away or divorcing themselves
away from the faith.  As I said, it is a growing movement.
