David Parker's concept of God's WILL vs His PURPOSE, really helped me sort out some dilemmas concerning how we should view the past, present and future. For instance, the birth of America, the present leadership and everything inbetween.  Was God's providence in operation when we know there has been abundant evil at work as well?  I think the answer lies in the idea that good and evil must be present to facilitate free will.  And mankind will always participate in evil...due to his fallen nature.  This proves the need for a Savior.  That is man's only hope. We are all guilty.
