"More on "Do children go
to Heaven""
Hi John and doves,
So much has
already been said about this subject. But I would like to draw your attention
to Matthew 19: 13-14 and Mark 10: 13-14. These four verses talk about the
same thing, i.e. People were bringing little children to Jesus to have
Him bless them, but the disciples rebuked them. Listen to what Jesus said.
"Let the little
children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God BELONGS
to such as these."
My take on
this is that the Kingdom already belongs to them. They don't need to do
anything to enter it. That's because these children have not reached the
age of accountability.
Read also
Ezekiel 16: 21. In this chapter God was rebuking the Israelites for their
unfaithfulness. This is what He said about babies being sacrificed: "You
slaughtered MY children and sacrificed them to idols." This statement clearly
means that children -- all children -- belong to God.
In the New
Testament, Jesus said the kingdom of God belongs to the children. In the
Old Testament God the Father said children belong to Him. To me that means
children, under the age of accountability, will be in heaven when they
die.
I pray that
the above will add some clarity to this contentious subject.
P.S. Thanks again for your faithfulness,
John. Keep up the good work. It won't be long now. We are going home soon.
John
