The news media are obsessing over the death of Johnny Carson with almost wall-to-wall coverage

Carson was a great comic who made America laugh, but he was only a comic.

Someone asked if there might be anything prophetic about his death of this famous comic and the obsession over it.  My only thought was that God might be saying to those in unbelief in secular America, "The time of your laughing is over.  I will have the last laugh.  'Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom' "(James 4:8-9, NIV).

A TV report said that no memorial for Carson is planned.
