"NPR and the spirit of suicide"
A recent news article revealed someone making
a film of actual footage of suicide from the Golden Gate Bridge. The purpose
was to show the agony of the human spirit. The purpose is dubious. It is
amazing what our society will Analise without being able to comprehend
the repercussions. Repercussions that would even glorify evil and allow
it to take over someones heart with the spirit of suicide.
I heard an NPR program prior to that. It was a documentary
of a reporter following the life of a young man who had attempted suicide
several times. This reporter had little to offer sadly, except to
listen. Finlay the reporter got the young man to speak quite a bit. He
revealed that he was raised in the Christian belief and the thought of
hell was what prevented him from actually following through with his attempts.
However on this day he said that living was more painful than hell. He
had made a plan to end his life. He began to run towards the trains. The
reporter followed along with his microphone on. As they were running all
of a sudden you heard this scream then the reporter added a doleful rock
song to the tape right after that to somehow eulogize this feat. It was
a powerful moment and a miserable one. A dark door was opened to the spirit
of suicide that entered into the hearts of many the instant that scream
occurred. Why did the man scream before he jumpe! d if he did not realize
too late what he had done. Why did this news man aid and assist to this
man's suicide. We truly have become a sick society. I have known all along
that there are many dark things on NPR, looking for truth in world void
of Christ. Somehow to defy God is become noble to them. What an empty and
evil society we have become. God have mercy on the Christians of this nation,
we consume while we are being consumed.
